Kannada Barutha?? (ಕನ್ನದ ಬರುಥ) ಮತ್ತೆ ಎನ್ನ್ರೀ ದಾಡಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲಿ ಮತದೊಕೀ ?

Aaaah! I am most of you in Bangalore would have heard this, but what is "kannada barutha?" here it goes. Bangalore the IT capital of India , the silicon city and now a Metro city opened its gates to almost all kinds of people. Very evidently the recent poll census proved that there are only 47% of original inhabitants in Bangalore/bengaluru. The life style of the city has seen a gradual change with Pizza Corners replacing MTR's, classy eat out's replacing "Vidyarthi Bhavans" and flashy pub's replacing all our "Mahalakshmi wine shops".

"Change is inevitable" from the days of BEML, HAL and BHEL to INFOSYS, WIPRO; Bangalore has a new look now on the world map. Gone are the days where a typical Sunday for any bangalorean was a nice romantic walk on the pavements of "LALBAGH...", "rave idli and coffee.." at the nearest yet old looking MTR and a wonderful Annavra film either at Santosh or central 'talkies'. Today's Bangalore is deluged in traffic, stress and pressure, Saturday nights without beer is desolate and a Sunday without a visit to either a nearest spa or health clinic is schlocky!!

The gandhibazar's are now AC cooled super markets, majestic is now replaced by ultra modern and diversified Brigade road, sri cauvery coffee joint is now Coffee days.. and "Bhagyalakshmi coffee adda.. is now barista. With globalisation and more retail market the city will definitely see more forceful changes.

Have all these changed our language? Kannada the local language of Bangalore is supposed to be one of the most meaningful language, it also

has an unique script as compared to its other counterparts; but how many percentage of people really use Kannada in Bangalore now? The figures are staggering, only 37% of people speak kannada in the state's capital, for rest it is only "Kannada barutha?"

Any normal guy starts with this sentence "Kannada barutha?" while talking to other person, people confirm before they speak the language. You want to ask an address in Bangalore? Or reply to a question then English is the most preferred language other than Hindi.. It's a famous fact that two kannidagas in an IT company always talk in a neutral language!! even the vendors and shop keepers are channeled with this new wave, the moment when you step in any shop in Bangalore , you are always asked "Kannada barutha?" or the entire conversation takes place in non kannada languages. People have lost the confidence of speaking in the local language and more over speaking Kannada on the streets of "M.G road "or "kormangala" is substandard.

Shopping malls in the city have been completely banned from using Kannada, not a forced one but definitely an adapted one. One has to confirm that the other person knows the language before he starts using any language. "ondu glass beer" is a insult when it comes to any decorous pub in Bangalore . "Swalpa menu card kodthira..??" has been replaced by "Can I have the menu card please...?"

Just to hit some facts, marathi is still the largest and common speaking language in mumbai even though mumbai has the highest no of inhabitants. Telugu is a practised ritual in yet another IT HUB Hyderabad. When it comes to tamil nadu, beware you can be alive either if you are a fan of rajnikanth or you know tamil.. Malyalam runs in the blood of every mallu be it Kuwait , dubai or any hospital; but when it comes to kannada it is always "kannada barutha?" and next is "namaskara."

I am neither a Kannada activist nor do I run any Kannada supporting organization, I am just a plebeian who just love the language.

Globalisation is the trend and modernisation is the mantra but at the cost of the language? Sounds no logic.. Is speaking kannada down market? The answer has to be found within oneself. Next time when you hear "kannada barutha?" you just remember that "kannada runs in your blood.."

Got a forwarded mail, felt interesting...

My New interest - ECONOMICS, FINANCE, SHARES, STOCKS ALL ABOUT MONEY ;-)

I still remember the days i used to spend in one my uncles (Dr GM Kudari, He is a well known cardiologist in Mysore) place one of the best time i had, I had no other work there other then watching TV, cooking and reading newspapers i enjoyed all the tree.

My uncle used to read many newspapers one in which he used spend lot of time is "The Economic Times" I used to wonder why he would read so much in that paper where there is no good photos and news, cos my favorite section in news paper is "Bangalore Times" (An additional attach comes with "Times of India") cos i love to read and see bollywood news

This was the short story back in 1994 - 1996 (times of my 12th standard)

Recently, there is so much of talks about recession, economy slow down, US markets, BSE Sensex (Down to 8+ thousands), NSE, GDP Etc. Etc

Talks like, Sensex is going down and down day by day and it might reach as below 6k, GDP is raising all time high, people of lost crores of rupees in stock market, and more importantly one of my friend lost a nominal big amount in share trading - these multiple hits of those news created some sort of curiosity to know about whats these all about.

I think this is the transformation stage where I myself created so much curious to know about it more and more.

I quickly got one trading account from Karvy (www.karvyonline.com)

Well, It does helps in many ways, keep track of economy not only India but also US, cos whenever there is drop in US Market next day you see the same down trend in India Stock market.

Anyways Now i am newbie in this field and so excited to learn and know and ultimately make money out of it..

My logic is quite simple, if you open and FD (Fixed Deposit) Account max you might get 10% for 365 days, in the worst case i would be expecting to make 10% of invested money in 1 year.

To be honest i strongly anticipate you will definitely can make your money group much more in the shorter period, keep in mind you should have patience and place your money smartly.

As I said above heir no harm for 10% of your invested money for sure if you invest for long term.

Invest Carefully, Start with Less do not hurry, take decision wisely.

Do not dream for big, Go Steady..

Happy Trading..

Cheers and keep rocking and keep making money its all Business EOD

SAVE MOTHER EARTH - SAVE ENERGY - MAKE THIS WORLD MORE GREEN TO LIVE

Come Home and Contribute to Earth - World Environment Day

Ask yourself what you have done for earth and whats your contribution. Day by Day Earth is getting more and more difficult to live and we are in the verge of spoiling it rather then saving it.

May organization and companies are contributing to create awareness and everyone of us should feel responsible to SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH

SAVE MOTHER EARTH - SAVE ENERGY - MAKE THIS WORLD MORE GREEN TO LIVE.

The most visible sign of the environmental damage caused by humans, the melting of the ice on the oceans and on land is a local and global problem. Arctic ecosystems, whose best known species is the polar bear, are under threat. Native peoples, particularly the Inuits, also see their living conditions worsen as the ice melts. The ice is a witness to the Earth's climatic evolutions and its disappearance will have consequences far beyond the polar regions. As the ice-cap melts, sea-levels will rise drastically altering coastlines all round the world.

Main jahaan rahoon - Main kahin bhi hoon - Teri yaad saath hai

main jahaan rahoon
main kahin bhi hoon
teri yaad saath hai

jaane kiski talaash unaki aankhon mein thi
aarajoo ke musaafir bhatkate rahein
jitane bhi woh chale
utane hi bichh gayein raah mein faasalein
kwaab manjil thi aur manjilein khwaab thi
raaston se nikalate rahein raaste
jaane kis waste aarjoo ke musaafir bhatkate rahein

main jahaan rahoon
main kahin bhi hoon
teri yaad saath hai
kisi se kahoon
ke nahi kahoon
yeh jo dil ki baat hai
kehne ko saath apane ek duniya chalti hai
per chhupke is dil mein tanhaayi palti hai
bas yaad saath hai
teri yaad saath hai - 3
main jahaan rahoon
main kahin bhi hoon
teri yaad saath hai

koyi puraani yaad mera rasta roke mujhse kehti hai
itani jalati dhoop mein yuun kab tak ghumoge
aayo, chalke bitein dino ki chhanv mein baithe
us lamhein ki baat karein
jisme koyi phool khila tha
us lamhein ki baat karein ke
jisme kisi aawaaz ki chaandi khanak uthi thi
us lamhein ki baat karein ke
jisme kisi nazaron ke moti barse the
koyi puraani yaad mera rasta roke mujhse kehti hai
itani jalati dhoop mein yuun kab tak ghumoge

kahin to dil mein yaadon ki
ek suli gad jaati hai
kahin har ek tasveer bhahut hi dhondhali pad jaati hai
koi nayi duniya ke naye rango mein khush rehta hai
koi sab kuch paake bhi yeh mann hi mann kehta hai
kehne ko saath apane ek duniya chalti hai
per chhupke is dil mein tanhaayi palti hai
bas yaad saath hai
teri yaad saath hai - 3

sach toh yeh hai kasoor apana hain
chaand ko chuune ki tamanna ki
aasamaan ko jamin par maanga
phool chaaha ki paththaron pe khilein
kaanton mein ki talaash khoshboo ki
aarjoo ki ke aag thandak de
barf mein dhundate rahein garmi
khwaab jo dekha chaaha sach ho jaaye
isaki humko saja toh milani hi thi
sach toh yeh hai kasoor apana hain

kahin to beete kal ki jadein
dil mein hi utar jaati hai
kahin jo dhage tute to malaayen bhikar jaati
koi dil mein jagah nayi, baaton ke liye rakhta hai
koi apni palko par yaadon ke diye rakhta hai
kehne ko saath apane ek duniya chalti hai
per chhupke is dil mein tanhaayi palti hai
bas yaad saath hai
